In yogic philosophy, prakriti represents our innate nature. It is of utmost importance that we are close to our prakriti to fully embrace our true selves and attain spiritual growth. I’m slowly trying to adopt a holistic approach to things that are in tune with nature to be in alignment with my prakriti and find the right balance. I know it’s a process, but I’m taking it one day at a time and am more inclined toward a natural way of life. What I'm ingesting is an important aspect of living naturally.

In my quest for balance, I found that CCF tea played a vital role. The grounding nature of cumin, one of its key ingredients, supports the harmony of the mind. Sipping it right before my meditation practice at night helps me feel grounded. It also aids the digestive process and clears the mental fog.

To prepare CCF tea, combine equal quantities of cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds, storing the blend in a mason jar. To make the tea, add one heap spoon of this tri-dosha blend to one cup of water and bring it to a boil. Simmering it maximizes the taste and bring out the sweet notes from the fennel seeds. This blend is suitable for consumption for all body types and doshas, but you can customize it based on your constitution. For instance, as I associate with the Vata dosha, which is more ether, I sometimes increase the quantity of cumin.

I follow a bedtime ritual of a shower, prayer, and CCF tea to unwind and prepare for meditation followed by sleep. This routine helps me get into the alpha state of mind before I begin my meditation and brings a sense of calm in me. This is how I’m staying connected to my prakriti on my spiritual journey, and all it takes is a cup of this wonderful herbal bliss.
